About Homestead
Veterinary Hospital

Homestead Veterinary Hospital was opened to serve Cary and the surrounding communities. It is privately owned by Michael Adams DVM. The property, building and training are owned and managed in collaboration with Tamara and Randy Dunn. Dr. Adams and Tamara have worked together in veterinary medicine in multiple capacities since 2012. Having spent years working in corporate medicine, they wished to have more flexibility in how they influenced the lives of their clients and patients.

They decided to open a private practice in 2016 in order to better facilitate their goals. It took time to find the right location and develop a plan before the vision could become a reality. They finally made their vision a reality on July 6, 2021 when they opened Homestead Veterinary Hospital in Cary, North Carolina. Ownership of a private practice allows them to better meet the needs of an evolving and better educated clientele. It allows the team to explore different therapeutic modalities, vaccines versus titer testing, aspects of canine reproduction, and flexibility in treatment plans.

Dr. Adams and Tamara were both raised with strong family values and a sense of community. They live and work in the Triangle and understand what it means to be a part of this community.

The team at Homestead Veterinary Hospital want to support their neighbors in any way possible, including educational and outside events.

The team is available to visit apartment complexes, community events, Meet and Greets, and to answer questions about veterinary care and training. Call if you have an event you would like the team to attend.
